In the year of 1955, thinking about a promising future, our president was an employee of the CSN (National Siderurgical Company). The company had around 18 caterpillar truck machines for coal withdrawal. All these machines worked with engines and generators, when, after a certain functioning period, there was a necessity of maintenance of its engines.

 As these machines were imported, there was a large difficulty in acquiring parts to be replaced. In this same time the CSN, based in Volta Redonda - Rio de Janeiro, opened a technical support store supervised by Americans, in order to restore special electric engines. Thus, a period of training in this store was offered to Mr. Antonio Manoel Inocêncio, where the same accomplishment and acquired knowledge in the technology of engine recovery.

INO initiated its activities as an individual company in 1972, on behalf of Mr. Antonio Manoel Inocêncio, today its managing president. These activities had been come back toward the rendering of services in alternating and electric direct-current chain engines in the existing mining of coal, the base of our economy at that time in our region.

With the automation of the mines through installation of imported equipment, appeared the necessity to recoup the used engines in these machines. Thus, in 1980, it was consolidated INO INOCÊNCIO LTDA, assistance lender technique for all coal mines in the region. INO also increased its technology following the new technologies of the credentialized companies. In the line of engines of traction of locomotives and electric trains, INO made partnership with companies of the United States and Canada, countries more developed in this area.
